Sorry - I don't want to mislead you. It has nothing to do with Windows 2003 server in my case.
I run Microsoft's Internet Security and Acceleration Server (a firewall & proxy server) application on Windows 2003 server. This sits between my block of public IP addresses and my internal network - where one of my server happens to be the ReadyNAS. As with most firewalls, its default approach is pass nothing. I (of course) had long ago opened port 80 so that explains as you say, why i-player was working. All connections to or from the internal network have to pass through this device - the fact that it runs on Windows 2003 server makes no difference. -- IanCHC ------------------------------------------------------------------------ IanCHC's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13400 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=70529 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
