This would be a lot easier if I could get my mac-mini to boot linux from an external drive. Apparently, Apple has gone out of it's way to make this pretty hard, if not impossible. My other machine here at my present, undisclosed location (Ok, it's little Italy in Montreal) is headless and booting linux without GUIs so testing will be tough, for now.
