Could be a firewall issue. Open a Terminal window.
type the following at the command prompt mplayer -v rtsp://rmlive.bbc.co.uk/bbc-rbs/rmlive/ev7/live24/radio2/live/r2_dsat_g2.ra If it plays radio 2 then there is no firewall issue.
