Interesting - I wonder if the problem is in response processing. Can you get a log with plugin.alienbbc set to DEBUG and network.asynchttp set to DEBUG. Use Tune-in for the URL that will minimise other http requests that would occur with AlienBBC menu. This could generate a lot of log messages.
