I'm not as sure about the id. I'd like to keep the extended alarm from forking too much from core server methods. There are a number of playlist features showing up in bugzilla (re sound effects and favourites) now that are apparently supported through SN, but not SC for the alarm. Given that SN is closed, I have no idea how that is handled, but certainly there are some things that will be coming along to add more alarm playlist options to SC, at least for favourites. I'd like to avoid getting into a position where the ability to support the same is complicated by supporting other features.
