It's stored in a subdirectory structure similar to the one the SC cache uses. There's also an ID in the XML file but I didn't succeed in translating that to the path. The artwork itself is either .jpg or .jpg with 100or so additional bytes upfront, the format is documented, somebody posted it here a few days ago, I believe, and I KNOW I have the reference at home.
