Please can I have some help testing this new version.
Live radio handling has had a complete overhaul, there are a lot of
technical changes:
- The plugin now handles the live radio url itself (it was previously
simply passing the url on for LMS to handle)
- The plugin is unpacking an hls AAC source, I believe this is of a
higher bitrate, although I'm not sure what bitrate exactly, its
variable.
- As it is an hls stream I have been able to implement a pause and
rewind/seek facility
- The meta data is also now handled by the plugin, it uses a web
socket connection.
- I've added all the regional versions of the global radio brands
If you install this beta version, you will need to recreate any
presets/favourites from the plugin.
I'm keen to hear feedback, there is a lot of technical changes, plus as
far as I'm aware a web socket implementation has not been included in a
plugin before, so I'm very keen to hear of any issues, these are things
I know about :
- Skip to start of programme is not currently working (you can rewind
or seek to the start)
- The transition to a new programme should work, but if you
paused/rewound the previous programme, it will return to live
- The playing track data may not be completely lined up, should be
usable though, unfortunately they don't provide exact timings.
