I took a chance and updated the OS to Ventura, macos 13.1. Shairtunes2w is still working for me, with LMS 8.3.1, in native M1 architecture.
What I don't dare doing however, is even trying to open the preferences in the Shairtunes plugin. Somehow i got the preferences set right in all my flailing about.
