I diasbled the plug-in, stopped the container, purged my /config
directory (that is cross-mounted on the NAS) and selected the plug-in
again after container restart -> problem gone!

It looks like something got screwed in the cross-mounted directory. 

Thanks for checking on your side and suggesting a fresh restart!
