That was it. I'm now running the 32 bit 2015-2022 C++ redist on my 64 bit machine and all is fine with my Chromecast Audios using Flac transcode with Flow checked (inc 24/96 flac files and mix albums). So thanks very much. (I can't understand how I could be the only one with this issue though. I'd have expected most Windows users to have had it). Will stay with the updated version (till Christmas at least) and report back on how my Naim NDX works with UPnP Bridge. Take care of your tongue. It is in a wet place and can easily slip.
