yes, that's the what the BBC Sounds plugin tries to mitigate by throttling how quickly the input buffer fills up so that radio gets a chance to concentrate on decoding for a bit. Which works on the whole. However these 2 bug reports are reporting something different, prolonged stuttering happening at any point, including live radio. Which I can't reproduce. But the 2 reports are in agreement about the same problem, and they are both using the community firmware. But as I say, it just may be coincidence.
