thx for the swift response. No, I did not compile the helper. 
This is a fresh install on Raspbian Bullseye after I ditched my docker
install.

Spotty 4.8.4 (apologies for abusing this thread...)
on the settings page I have Automatisch Wählen  -
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Spotty/Bin/aarch64-linux/spotty
(v1.3.0)

When I restarted LMS I had to log in to mysqueezebox.com again. 
The plugins were still there, however.
