I haven't done much of technical work in the last 15 years. I wouldn't expect for me to need to setup any sort of forwarding rules because, as you very well say, home networks have a deny all incoming network traffic unless previously initiated from within the network. I tried forwarding port TCP4070 just in case for some reason Spotify would challenge back my connection attempt using a different protocol/port from within the network. Pretty much like FTP. But if that would have proven been the case, I would have been reluctant to leave it like that. > > Please check your Spotify application's configuration. Could you let me know how I should restart LMS with that option enabled? do I need to run any CLI command or is that something one does from the web interface on LMS?
For sure there is something missing on my side. I thank you in advance for your time and support.
