Good idea. However, if you like the swipe up/down volume control method, you should check out the Material Skin app/plugin. It has the smoothest implementation of it that I have seen. You have to both install the plugin and side load the Android control apk to use it, but it's worth the effort. Be sure to read all of the instructions carefully. I encourage you to give it a try.
