I had the same thing with my Musician Pegasus... impossible to lock the USB port on my new RPI4 (bach from December). The solution ? insert a USB hub. It works with a basic hub but I had an Ohlenbach reclocker which works very well ($80 better than a simple hub). No other software solution (dac firmware or other distribution).
