I had this exact behaviour on my Audio Pro Addon C3 and this did the
trick. It was working fine previously, I have similar firmware so maybe
that broke it. Thanks for finding a solution.

Incidentally, the UPnP bridge was still allowing me to control the C3
from LMS, but when using synchronisation the C3 was not in sync with my
LMS devices. Synchronisation is working fine with the AirPlay bridge.
