I'm waiting to see what they do. No guarantees and, yes, if the only place you would use the premium subscription is via this plugin then I suggest you hold off for now. I think they allow cancellation at any time so would only cost 1 month though. I still haven't released the premium stuff because I wanted to roll it into the Radio Now Playing plugin but I suspect that this change from Bauer might mean the end of it. Let's see over coming 2 days.
