I had the same problem a few months ago, and nothing in the logs showed any hint of what was going wrong. I tried a complete reinstall of the bridge, generated completely new config files etc but it still refused to show up (note that it had worked previously for a few years, but one day after a reboot of my server it refused to appear again). In a final act of desperation I ended up editing my LMS server.prefs file and removing the entry for that Sonos device. After restarting the server again, the player was immediately discovered and everything was back to normal.
