correct, one needs at least VB 2.5 installed to easily get an updated version of LMS (and even that is not very easy). I used VBs for many years, but moved on to rPi's running piCorePlayer a year or two ago and haven't looked back. The VB system was brilliant when created, but it is not being very actively maintained with regard to the squeezebox ecosystem. The VB forum member (Ron) that provided users with lots of detailed, step by step help has not been around for at least 2 years (I think sadly due to medical issues).
