I use Linux Mint 20.1 (Cinnamon), I am fairly certain that  I do not 
use Wayland (system info says it is an x11 server). I tried Firefox and
same result and the primary browser I use where I also have this issue
is Brave.
I did try uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin/interface but no
improvement. Are settings/Configuration stored somewhere that survives a
plugin removal? I am loathe wipe my LMS install as there are a lot of
plugins configured there presently but that may be a possible solution
