I just noticed a little glitch ... seems the Hotkey for "Append to queue" for an album is set to Ctrl+A (as shown in the tooltip when hovering over the plus icon). The hotkey for "Manage Players" is Ctrl+A as well. When using the hotkey Ctrl+A, both functions are performed ... tracks are added to the queue, and the Manage Players view opens.
