Looking back on the code it appears I turned off (commented out) the routines I had to pick up the state of each menu item. I suspect it was a performance hog and interfered with normal operations. You can see the two locations in the DenonAvpComms.pm at lines 453-458 and also at 591-594. Ideally this should only process if the user is landing on the plugin menu. I need to figure out when to trap that state and put a condition in to only run these inquires then.
