AFAIK there's nothing cached between LMS versions that would affect
Sprocket. 

Just to be clear, you can logout from the preferences and log back in
without incident, correct? The problem only comes when accessing the
service? The preference shows you as logged in?

I'll work to add logging to the relevant sections, that's probably the
only way to see what's happening, but it may be a a week or more before
I have a chance to look at it.
