I see that they are still only mainly supporting AAC and MP3. I think flac would have been nice but anyway ... So it will be mp3 as I have not yet implemented an aac encoder.
Can you remind me what you have in mind wrt player creation? UPnP, Cast and AirPlay are discover-based solutions. A broadcast is sent and players respond. For every reponse, a lookup is made in the config file and when ID match, the specific parameters are applied. But players are NOT created just because they are listed in the config file.
