No idea what is going on

The LMS is, however a cut-down version.

I have never used PNP3 but it seems (from my limited experience of
yesterday) totally unsuited to running LMS, as it is pretty well a
closed system.

Get a raspberry pi and just use the Joggler as a controller, simples

The main problem with the Joggler (apart from its slowness, is the lack
of memory and finding a usb2 stick that complements it).

Putting the OS on an external usb2 stick really does help.
