Likewise, I only asked the question out of curiosity, not to imply any critique of ones choices about how one likes to install applications. Obviously, if on Win7, the legacy installer is your only choice. The other downside of the Windows Store is that you have to have a Store account, you can't go back and install an older version, and I'm sure other reasons people have. That is why I make both available. I will say, that if security is a concern for you, I think in general Store Apps are "safer" as they are forced to run in a somewhat boxed environment and are prohibited from accessing sensitive parts of the system and are prohibited from running with admin privileges. Store apps undergo a certification process to ensure this. So if you get it from the Store, you are assured of this, if you use the legacy installer, you have to trust the author.
