Its a virtual filesystem. The files are converted from m4a to mp3 when
accessed via an app (e.g. MusicIPMixer) on the fly - but also cached for
subsequent access. I have it set to use an in-memory temp folder for its
cache, and set to a limit of 250M. These 'virtual' mp3s are only
required for the analysis, so quality is not that important. This seems
to work OK, apart from the fact that MusicIPMixer cannot seem to tell
the duration of the tracks - they show with an empty duration. Which is
a bit of a bummer, as I was going to use a filter on duration to prevent
overlay short (i.e. intro) and long track from being used. :(
