Everything was fine a few days > ago.I don't know why it's doing this cause the update did not touch any of the connection code. On my devices it did it right after the update, but once I pressed cancel connect and connected again, it never happened again. If it is a bug, I can't really diagnose it since it doesn't happen on my devices anymore.
My best guess is that certain changes I made is making the app start up just tiny bit faster and it is trying to connect before the network system is ready for it, so it gets stuck.
