Michael! I tried the Connect feature again. After the usual inability to switch connect endpoints via the spotify web app, I then rebooted the server ... and discovered I couldn't login in via Putty (connection refused).
However, I was able to use the LMS web-gui. I then did another cold-boot after disabling the connect option via the LMS settings.
