I've just received a MacBook and was curious about running Squeezebox and specifically MusicIP under MacOS (after running these on Windows 7 and Windows 10 without any problems). I was able to get SB going fairly quickly on the MacBook but I am having a very difficult time with MusicIP. I have the service running fine and added songs to the library. However, I cannot get MIP to analyze any of the tracks. It keeps saying it cannot connect to the server. I know that a few years ago the servers were shutdown, but I am still able to get the analysis working either thru the GUI or the Web option. On the Mac, I keep getting the error on the GUI. I even tried using the GenPUID program, but still got bad connection error. Has anyone been able to get this going on their MacOS environment? Any help is greatly appreciated.
