If I remember room natively handles AirPlay, squeeze boxes and chrome cast devices but for it to handle UPnP you need either the bridge made by another party and available on Roon forums, or my bridge. My bridge contains a small plugin piece that requires LMS, but it's really just here to handle configuration file. Basically it's editing an xml file. The active part is squeeze2upnp-xxx where xxx depends on your OS and this part is the one simulating a squeezelite player and that's what you'd need to make a UPnP device look like a squeezelite
