I just wanted to thank to all who've worked so hard to develop and refine AlienBBC. It's second only to Rhapsody in changing the way that I experience audio and music on a daily basis. I have long been scared off of trying AlienBBC, first for its lack of windows support (though that's no longer an issue) then further by all of the horror stories I've read on here about people trying to get it to work. I'm happy to report that the packaged windows installation (of v1.03) worked flawlessly for me on the first try (running SS 6.5b1 on XP sp2). It "just worked". Lovely.
I'm now happily streaming my NPR shows, and occasionally taking some time to explore what the BBC has to offer. Being from the US, I'm fairly unfamiliar with the BBC's shows and I feel a bit overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of offerings through the various BBC stations and would love it if anyone here would like to point me towards some of their favorites (err, favourites?). I'm sure this has the potential to elicit an almost unending array of responses, but I just need a place to start. Surely there are a couple of shows that some of you feel strongly about and think that "everyone ought to try this at least once". So, fellow Slimmers, guide me! -- azinck3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ azinck3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3967 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23921 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
