I cannot get responses, or a solution, from namecheap on setting up my
domain records. I need mail to come to the dynamic IP address from Frontier
while the web site and mailman server are at another, static, IP address
elsewhere.

One solution offered by spiritone is to have them relay incoming mail as
well as outgoing mail so there's only IP address involved. I have no
understanding of what this means for my local postfix installation, if
anything. I read here that some of you have your mail servers hosted
externally (Keith mentioned that in his message this morning) so I'm sure
you can answer my questions.

Since Frontier replaced static IP addresses for us nodes with dynamic
ones, my local postfix sends outgoing mail to aracnet/spiritone and they
relay it. Would incoming mail work the same way? That is, do I tune postfix
(or do nothing at all)? Or, is postfix replaced by fetchmail as used in the
days of dial-up access to the 'Net?

Clarification needed,

Rich
