I recently was forced to retire the six ancient 12v 7A lead acid batteries
in my APC RS1500 UPS unit and the battery pack BR24BP which did provide 56
minutes of reliable power at 310 watts draw.

I now have a working electronics RS1500 shell and an empty BR24BP shell
which I would like to offer to anyone for free.

If you seek to refurmish this unit with new lead acid batteries, websites
such as
http://www.refurbups.com/APC-Back-UPS-RS-XS-Battery-Pack-BR24BP-Replacement-Batteries?sc=24&category=28374
are useful, which suggests it would take about $100 to $110 to do.

Any takers? There are youtube videos on refurbishing the batteries and I
did get the shell covers off the BR24BP battery pack which was no mean feat.

All the equipment and covers are in excellent shape, including the double
stand.
