i'd recommend checking the svn docs online - i remember (when 
troubleshooting issues in upgrading to 1.6 from 1.5.x) reading about 
different data-migration strategies, depending on which kind of 
data-store (e.g. berkeley-db or file-based) used for your repos. Also, 
i've run into real snags when the server and client versions get too far 
out of sync.
