hey all, i'm sure most folks who have been paying moderately close attention already know that gnome 3 was officially released today, but i hadn't seen anyone bring it up, but in case you've been living under a rock...
hey! gnome 3 wasl released today! i've been using it in the fedora 15 alpha for a few weeks so far, and i'm quite impressed. there's a few things to adjust to, but over all i'm very pleased with the new approach to desktop interaction. probably the only thing that makes me a little hesitant is the gsettings approach to configuration, which seems a lot more like the windows registry than traditional linux config files. there's been quite a lot of controversy over the new gnome shell, and people either seem to be all for it or unbelievably irritated by it from what i've seen in the blogosphere. has anyone else tried it out yet? any impressions to share? regards, nathan _______________________________________________ PLUG mailing list [email protected] http://lists.pdxlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
