yup thats true..

another advantage of a bridge aside from sniffing, you can apply a
firewall rules and  traffic shaping invisible to them... just add a
third nic with an ip address for remote access...

you can ask oracle usa to purchase it for you and send it to the philippines :->

but if your purpose is to sniff packets for legal purposes in a
cheapest way.. you can ask your network administrator to assign one
port of your switch to mirror another port that you wanted to sniff
it...
