Hi!

try or ask what encryption type is on the client side(MD5,SHA etc) just to
make sure you're both agreeing to the same protocol. Not all encryption are
installed by default and if you can't agree, then no 'hand-shake'

or better yet have them signed your public key and if you're authorized
(permission)[if ssh-ing is available to the server] to ssh to their pc.
