We develop video surveillance systems in linux.

http://dvr.neugent.net

The dvr server can hook up with IP cameras (vivotek, etrovision, video
servers, to name a few), which acts as a centralized monitoring system which
the boss can view remotely (via http jpeg frames, or streamed mp4). You can
have many IP cameras locally connected to the dvr server, and then the dvr
server will use 1 global ip from which to monitor those IP cameras.

Non-supported IP cameras can be integrated to it (allow some time to
develop) as long as its on an open protocol (plain tcp, http, rtsp, etc) or
an SDK is provided.
