Hi All,

I want to upgrade our current server loaded with NT 4
and SQL Server 7 to new machine with more power than
our current one. Yes, I know that those are already
outdated but the application running on that was not
compatible SQL 2000. I am thinking to install CentOS
as host OS on the new hardware so that I can also use
the machine for other purpose such as Samba and then
put Virtualization software and put NT4 as guest, is
that possible? I also need your advised which virtual
software to use between QEMU, Xen, VMWARE. Is it
possible to only use the free VMWARE Server
downloaded from internet? I want to implement the said
setup so that in the future, will migrate all our
application to Linux. Has anyone here share his/her
experience and expertise on what I am planning to do?
Any pointers please.

Thanks,

junji
