Load is but one of a concern.  I ask because the
solution (be it samba, nfa, or some other) would
dictate both the amount of hardware I would need and
the amount of technical knowledge I and my associates
would have to learn.

Samba has its pros and cons.

At the moment, I'm quite satisfied with Samba.  And
based on what I have now, would probably stick with
it. I was just wondering what others' experience are
on other network file sharing solution.  Except NFS --
no disrespect meant, it's just that I'm using it
already.

Not quite sure what your point is here.  I'm not a
regular at Freshmeat.  :-)

I'm just want to hear the experiences of those who
have.  And wouldn't like to see this thread turn into
an "X vs Y" thing.  I could easily google for that.
