Added a subject. Firstly, I am not anti-X (X can be Apple, Microsoft or whatever). Secondly, IMO, freedom of choice includes proprietary software. Thirdly, the cited mail thread wasn't about whether X software is good/useful/appropriate/morally right etc. It was about gelling with theme of a conference and enough has been discussed about it. Let's not get again into that. Fourthly, above statement that you have quoted from the article sounds like a nice sales slogan. It might just be a sponsored article. Even if it isn't, one needs to take that with a pinch of salt. E.g. how about this: "I use Linux, to develop software to make life of Apple users easy" and write an article that justifies this?
