Adobe will provide updates for 5 years for the existing version. Firefox can adopt the Chrome API which is not specific to Chrome if needed since it is not needed. In 5 years, Flash probably wont be that much relevant anyway. Worrying about it now doesn't make sense. If you are a developer and have a dependency on Flash, then move away from it.
