MeeGo which was a merge of moblin (Intel's Fedora like distro) and Nokia Maemo (Debian like distro which runs on Nokia N900 and some of its predecessors) was supposed to be the way forward for Nokia smartphones. If they are dumping this and adopting Windows, that's a sad news for Linux community. Business-wise is it a step back for them? Time will tell.
