Hi Friends, I am trying to install WIRESHARK on a machine with CENTOS 5.3. I encountered following error:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [r...@localhost setup]# rpm -i ../installables/wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386.rpm warning: ../installables/wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e8562897 error: Failed dependencies: libsmi is needed by wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386 libsmi.so.2 is needed by wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386 libwireshark.so.0 is needed by wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386 libwiretap.so.0 is needed by wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386 wireshark = 1.0.3-4.el5_2 is needed by wireshark-gnome-1.0.3-4.el5_2.i386 [r...@localhost setup]# ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't have an internet connection. How & where do I get the correct version of the dependencies listed in the above error? I have the DVD with CENTOS with me. I can try searching for the dependencies in the DVD. However, my concern is how to point CENTOS to the dependencies during installation even if I am able to locate them on the CENTOS DVD or have them downloaded [from cyber cafe] in a pen drive. Could you please suugest a way to complete the above installation? thanks & regards, Rajendra _______________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List
