Hi! You may try customizing your distro on line. Visit www.slax.org. Primarily intended to be used on a pen drive, this KDE based distro can be installed on a hard disk as well.
I have used it inside VirtualBox. It's quite minimalistic (200 MB to start with) and you can customize it on line and then download the customized .iso file suitable for your requirements.
