Talking of Mono, Ars Technica has this interesting piece on Mono being
ported to iPhone, Android and Wii -
http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20090108-open-source-mono-framework-brings-c-to-iphone-and-wii.html
According to Miguel de Icaza, the iPhone app store has around 40 apps built
using Unity and Mono.

A point to note would be - unlike Mono, Unity3d is a closed source,
proprietary software.
