I am using OpenSuse on my HP Laptop.

Tried the command

smartctl -d ata -a /dev/sda | grep 193; hdparm -B 180 /dev/sda; sleep 600; \
smartctl -d ata -a /dev/sda | grep 193; hdparm -B 255 /dev/sda

The load cycle count did not increase. It has stayed constant at 20879.

I referred https://launchpad.net/bug59695.html &
