gcc -v Using built-in specs. Target: x86_64-linux-gnu Configured with: ../src/configure -v --enable-languages=c,c++,fortran,objc,obj-c++,treelang --prefix=/usr --enable-shared --with-system-zlib --libexecdir=/usr/lib --without-included-gettext --enable-threads=posix --enable-nls --program-suffix=-4.1 --enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-clocale=gnu --enable-libstdcxx-debug --enable-mpfr --enable-checking=release x86_64-linux-gnu Thread model: posix gcc version 4.1.2 (Ubuntu 4.1.2-0ubuntu4) It breaks whenever I try giving any matrix higher than 2x2. When I try with 3x3, GDB tells me it core dumps when the free function is called for the first time in the determinant function. I thought it a bit off-topic because it dealt more with C than with linux per se. Thanks. -- धर्म एव हतो हन्ति धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः। तस्माद् धर्मो न हन्तव्यो मा नो धर्मो हतोऽवधीत्॥
