Sure... In general, anybody with a good (and working) knowledge of Linux OS has a very high potential of helping others switching to Linux and also making money. How to do it sitting at home is a bit tricky to discuss here. But let me just say this much... he needs to be an enterpreneur in providing tech help or something.... for this he will need to move from "well versed ... to .. expert" category all by himself or learning on the as travels that road..
